Kalem Duffus-Mckenzie is a young professional photographer and artist based in Gloucestershire United Kingdom. He has studied both fine art and photography as an interest, leading to an expressive understanding within his portfolio. In his work, he tends to photograph commercial-style photography, although throughout his personal portfolio, he expresses emotions about personal issues or of a matter of complications.

 

As an artist his work is aimed to portray dark emotions or feelings in a dynamic style, particularly within his portraiture, to understand, explore, interpret and elaborate these emotions of humanity, spread throughout each individual and every individuals perspective in their own mindset. Enhancing these thoughts and producing quality in a life long engagement towards the curiosity of collective thoughts and forever changing emotions. However the study of many other subject matters, (product/lifestyle) has also been rendered in his portfolio.

 Kalem had also pursued a photographic event at Shoot LDN Hasselblad studios based in London, where an editorial and photo expert team from professional photo magazine, offered shoot LDN 2015 visitors an exclusive opportunity to get hands on with a Hasselblad and enter a competition to win a chance to shoot the magazines front cover. 

As a result, this further lead Kalem to another studio based in Northampton, (Garrison Studios) and shot the cover for Professional photo magazine "Issue 114" in late 2015.
